![]() Voice files from Warcraft 3 / World of Warcraft.īetter music for the factions. But that's the point, it's the Scourge.Īll of this could be fixed by using proper scripts, that way we could have the Scourge have weak starting armies to make it a challenge for players, but for the AI to have stacks spawned to help it, although we tried it and didn't properly work, I'm sure it can work since it works in Call of Warhammer for the Beastmen and Chaos. Of course the problem of these big starting armies is that in the hands of the player the Scourge would be overwhelmingly powerful, as can be seen in the Let's play by SurrealBeliefs. And btw I keep 2 versions all the time, one that is the same as all the others, to mod and implement stuff, and another with my own personal modifications such as retextures I did that weren't approved or other stuff that I like to experiment upon. This is how I did in my version, and it works. Then when they start making recruitment buildings, they can pad the losses of those elite units with ghouls and simple skeleton warriors. That makes the armies varied but solid, and lore accurate at the same time. ![]() So I suggest a bodyguard, 3 abominations, 2 necromancers, 1 acolyte or banshee, and then an assortment of 4 or 5 of each of undead champions, soldiers, sergeants, halberds, skeletal archers or raiders, whatever you prefer, until you reach 20 units. The reason for this is so they can take the regions around Caer Darrow and then actually hold them and serve as buffer armies to give them time to make recruitment buildings to actually continue to be a threat, because due to AI weirdness it will end up misusing the initial armies no matter how strong. So they absolutely need to have a massive starting force of 9 full stacks of medium-elite troops. In my tests if the Scourge is weaker as it is, it can take some settlements, but then Lordaeron grinds them down, and if Stromgarde or the High Elves join, they are doomed. And lo and behold, those armies end up being pretty much useless. You then said that there were "too many skeletons" as I recall, even though I was talking about undead soldiers and not skeletons, and then you gave them zombies, which, as I remember, I said "that makes their armies pretty much useless". I don't recall you saying they should be increased.īut i will most likely increase them, how much did you increase them? Could be helpful if you actually tell the rest of the team how you "fixed the Scourge" instead of doing your own personal version and keeping quiet about the details.īut I did tell you how to do it. ![]() Then i did also add abominations, trolls, banshees and zombies to them instead of only skeletons like before. Give them 2 or 3 units of abominations in each army plus +1 necromancers and mix in some banshees and crypt fiends as well as giving them a full complement of "undead" type soldiers (instead of lower quality "skeleton" types) and you'll see if the Scourge doesn't start kicking ass lol, it always ends up conquering northern lordaeron and even attacks the trolls and quel'thalas in my personal modification. No, i added three armies from Northrend like you suggested with exactly those three generals you said you had moved. ![]() Well you didn't want to give them bigger armies like I suggested, instead you give them the weaker armies with only like half stacks. ![]()
